Setting Up Your Store with TallyWish

It's easy to get started and easy to customize

TallyWish Storefronts are designed to be easy to setup for most administrators and marketing managers.

Setup is quick and easy and flexible. Use whichever functionality you want on your site and use the features in a number of different ways. Have questions or want some helping walking through setup? Contact our team for assistance or advice.

What's Needed for Setup

After logging into your store administrator account, go to the "installation" option under settings.

The "Installation" page includes a number of code snippets that you can simple drag and drop into your product detail / information page.

If you're non-technical or would like your webmaster to assist with the process, the TallyWish team is available for consultation or can schedule time to work directly with your technical staff.

Typically, the application of the wishlist or store favorite code snippets takes only minutes.

What code snippets are available?

Wishlist Add

Applying the "wishlist add" code snippet will display a button where a user can click to add the item to their wishlist. Once clicked, the visitor will be able to select from an existing wishlist, create a new wishlist or register for an account. We recommend that you place this snippet on the product detail template or page on your website. Usually, this is the page where the user might share an item to their social networks or click on the "Add to Cart" button.

Upon completing the wish-listing of an item from your store, the visitor has the option to mark your store as a favorite on the confirmation screen.

Favorite Store Option

The most flexible code snippet is the "Favorite Store" button. The button can be applied almost anywhere on your site. It helps to connect your customer, visitors and future customers to your store.

The visitor is then connected to your store on TallyWish and is eligible to receive directly marketing messages that you generate through the marketing tools in your store administrator account.

By marketing your store as a favorite, the user can find our TallyWish users who have similar tastes in stores and products.

We recommend that this button be installed in the footer of your site, on order confirmation pages and as part of your product listing and detail pages.

Wishlist Item Listing

The wishlist item collection code allows you to create a "wishlist" page on your site and fully integrate your shopping experience with TallyWish.

When visitor goes to the wishlist page on your site, and is logged into TallyWish, the page will automatically display a collection of the products they have wishlisted on your site. Most importantly, that visitor may not even have an account on your website or have begun the shopping process.

It's simple – the customer visits, they add an item to their wishlist and might come back months later, but TallyWish remembers.

If the visitor is not a wishlist member, they can create an account directly on that page (no leaving the site required). TallyWish will even display a grouping of the most "wishlisted" items from your site to the newly registered visitor to help get them started with wishlisting on your store.

We recommend you work with your technical and marketing teams to create the "Wishlist" page on your website.

Are advanced display options available?

Yes, there are a number of customizations available. If you would like to customize the buttons used or the data passed into the TallyWish wishlist when buttons are selected. The customizations given more advanced users (or their technical teams) to better integrate the TallyWish functionality into the look and feel of an existing website.
